Faith-Based Activities
Staff and volunteers find creative ways to build relationships and communicate God's love and the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. We provide leadership that young people can rely on, as well as being positive role models for them. Rock Solid helps young people to develop good attitudes and behavior patterns allowing them to function more constructively in society. We meet students in their neighborhood or school community, and invite them to the center's activities and events.
High School Ages 15-18
Growing young people will have opportunities to make new friends in a positive environment: the latest Christian Music, Concerts, Movie Nights, Interactive Games and Snack Bar at a reasonable cost. R.I.O.T (REACHING IN & OUT TOGETHER) gives opportunity to discusses issues / age-appropriate for growing adolescents. Besides weekly, topical meetings, there are area events, trips and special outings designed for finding the right friends and meeting other needs of teens
Rock Solid Middle Schoolers - Ages 11-14
Middle school students will have opportunities for friendship, fun, and growth. After-School Meetings are a great time to "hang out" with friends from school, get homework help and have a chance to talk about what's important to them.
Troop 316, Binghamton - Boys / Ages 11-17 (Thursdays 7-8:30 PM)
In May 28th 2009, Boy Scout Troop 316, Baden-Powell Council, Hiawatha District, B.S.A., will make its home at Rock Solid Youth Center. Since 1997, Troop 316 has reached out to downtown Binghamton youth. The Scouts have learned to live by the Oath and Law, developed outdoor skills, earned merit badges and advanced in rank. Many boys have grown in character and good citizenship, while enjoying fun adventures like whitewater rafting and winter camping, making many good friendships and memories for life. Rock Solid Families "Meet the Neighbors!"
for All Ages (Fridays 3:30-5:30 PM)
Accompanied by Parent(s) or Guardian, kids of all ages are welcomed into our safe and fun environment. Our "Saturday 1-2-3" program gives young children and parents great activities to do together on Friday afternoons. Snacks, Games, Crafts & Songs with a positive spiritual message.
